Atopic dermatitis is one of the most common chronic inflammatory skin diseases, affecting about 10 million people in Germany. Those affected often have an abnormally increased reaction to substances that are tolerated by healthy people (type I allergy). Often there is also hay fever/allergic persistent rhinitis and bronchial asthma. In addition, there are food allergies. Extensive targeted examinations for a thorough clarification of the causes by means of blood and stool diagnostics form the basis for an appropriate treatment concept. With individualized therapy, we have succeeded in reducing the use of external cortisone by over 90% in recent years.
